Brett B. Rich | Shareholder
Brett B. Rich is a shareholder at Nielsen & Senior where he is also Vice-President, a member of the Board of Directors, and heads the Attorney Recruiting Committee. A litigator, his diverse practice is devoted to assisting clients with matters relating to insurance, state and local government, law, construction and business law.
Mr. Rich brings first-hand business and insurance industry experience to his legal practice. Prior to obtaining his juris doctor degree at Brigham Young University (1995), he was president of Interstate Industries of Logan, Utah, and a co-founder of Dairy Products Services in Wellsville, Utah. Prior to joining Nielsen & Senior, he served as the director and legal counsel to the Utah Association of Counties Insurance Mutual. Mr. Rich graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University in political science and business administration (1978).
While attending law school at Brigham Young University, he chaired the school’s Board of Advocates, worked as an extern with the Utah Association of Special Districts in Heber City, Utah, and clerked for the Utah County Attorney. He also published “Using Discarded Trash to Establish Probably Cause” in the Utah Narcotic Officers Association Magazine (Winter 1995, p. 22). He received Brigham University’s prestigious J. Reuben Clark Award in 1995 and is a member of the Order of Barristers. He served as Chair of the Utah County Career Service Council and as an Adjunct Professor of State & Local Government at the J. Reuben Clark Law School.
Originally from Cach Valley, Mr. Rich now resides in Orem. In addition to his civil practive, he currently serves city Attorney to Santaquin City and the Town of Genola.
