Nielsen & Senior, a Utah professional corporation, has a notable history as a respected member of the Utah legal community. Our roots stem back many years to when Edwin W. Senior originally founded the firm of Senior & Senior in 1882 and, together with his sons, maintained a highly regarded natural resource and commercial practice. Nearly 100 years later, Senior & Senior merged with the litigation firm of Nielsen, Henriod, Gottfredson & Peck, headed by Arthur H. Nielsen, one of the best-known trial attorneys in Utah, becoming what is known today as Nielsen & Senior, P.C.

   Over half of our lawyers have been with Nielsen & Senior for more than 20 years. New attorneys are carefully selected and mentored with the legal wisdom we have acquired since 1882. Collectively, our attorneys have received a number of research and legal writing awards, scholastic excellence scholarships and ethics awards. Some are editors and writers for the Utah Law Review, the Utah Bar Journal, and the Brigham Young University Law Review. They serve in practice area sections within the Utah Bar Association and American Bar Association. Active in the community, Nielsen & Senior attorneys have volunteered time for domestic violence advocacy, Street Law Program at the Guadalupe School, religious freedom conferences, community planning boards, university advisory boards, rotary clubs, guardian ad litem program for children, and Boy Scouts of America.
